Student’s achievement in a particular subject depends on his/her interest in that particular subject. This present study is to find out to what extent Mathematical Interest of Higher Secondary first year students is related to their achievement in Mathematics. The investigator adopted normative survey method for the study. Stratified random sampling technique was used to collect 100 samples of first year Higher Secondary students of both Government and Aided Higher Secondary Schools in the central coastal area of Kerala. The statistical techniquesPearson’s Product - Moment Correlation analysis employed.
