This project is sponsored by the company Whirlpool of India Limited, situated at Ranjangaon MIDC, Pune. The company is going to launch a new model of refrigerator. In that model they have introduced VACCUM INSULATED PANEL (VIP) inside the product to reduce the heat load on compressor. The VIP of type A has been used which is having thickness of 32 mm. The product weight has been increased by 25% along with increased in door weight.ThefunctionofVIPistoprovidebetterinsulationthanany otherconventionalinsulationmaterials.DuetoadditionofVIPand increase in weight of product there will be effect on structure of refrigeration.Thepresentworkfocusesonstructural/Experimental testing of product, simulation of Freezer Compartment (FC) & Refrigerator Compartment (RC) door for door sag, analytical calculation of door sag & validating theresult
