Why load forecasting? And what are the methods are there up to now and methods yet to come in future to do electrical load forecasting. This paper presented a detailed study on electrical load forecasting with traditional; Knowledge based expert systems, artificial intelligent techniques and Hybrid techniques (EMD and ANN) with a brief explanation about the conventional and non-conventional methods of electrical load forecasting. And a very clear individual comparison of both conventional and non-conventional methods.
