Scum formation is a major operational problem in anerobic biodigestor. A simple, convenient and inexpensive testing methodology for scum reduction has been developed during span of project. In these research work the effect of canola oil, coconut oil and ENO studied on scum and foam reduction. Canola oil is found out to be the promising and most suited for reducing level of scum compared to the ENO and Coconut oil.
