This article presents a detailed analysis and content of the main objects of control of the university’s activities, such as it's potential, educational and scientific activities, as well as such independent objects of control as educational programs. The composition and general characteristics of the analytical indicators of the university’s control activities are disclosed, such as indicators of assessment of its potential, indicators of control activities of the university as a whole, as well as the implementation progress of its educational programs. The results of the study are reflected in the matrix of control objects of university activities, which can be widely applied as methodological support for building a system for controlling universities' activities
