Continuous increase in the demand of electricity around the globe has created a great interest in the renewable energy sources. In the recent years Photo Voltaic (PV) power generation has emerged out to be a considerable solution to world energy crisis. The major problem encountered in the implementation of PV is its low voltage output. This study proposes a converter having capability of high voltage boost. The proposed converter utilizes switched capacitors and switched inductors to uplift the output voltage of dc-dc converter. The proposed topology also offers a bonus of reduces voltage stress on the circuit components and thus improved reliability. MATLAB Simulation and the derived results display an improved voltage gain reduced stress. The simulation model also includes PV module to examine converter’s adaptability with PV module.
