A new flagship programme was propelled by thegovernment of India called “The Digital India Programme” toenhance and with a vision to transform the economy of thecountry into a “Faceless, Paperless, Cashless” economy. RBI ishaving a major role to play and support the government inachieving the goals. In this study we had tried to study the impactof various factors like awareness, advantages and problems inthe cashless economy in India and the impact of awareness andadvantages on the problems .The empirical study found that allthe three factors have their own importance and impact on thecashless economy. There are other factors also which have animpact on cashless economy. In India it is at its adolescent stage.
