This paper concerns the optimal modelling of free-ends prefabricated reinforced concrete beams. The article focuses on the selection of the optimal height of the cross-section at a fixed length, width, level of reinforcement of the element and the set of external loads. By applying gradient-iterative method it was possible to conduct multiple optimization calculations. Optimal beam height was formulated based on calculation results.
