The article is devoted to the examination and comparison of different views on the concept «system» in general and «system of interests protected by law in the civil law» in particular. The author reveals the features of such a system, demonstrates the possibility of the existence of a subsystem within the system of legally protected interests, proposes the species (horizontal) and level (vertical) classification of interests in the system. With a particular focus on the principles of the legally protected interests implementation, the author proposes his own classification of these interests in the private law. The author viewpoint based on the analysis of varios scientists-civilists opinions is reasonably presented and justified
