Currently, the whole world is facing a terrible condition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, activities in the agricultural and livestock sectors are directly affected by the pandemic. The most significant impact of the pandemic on traditional livestock activities is due to the low purchasing power of the people so that the need for fresh meat is also reduced. Optimizing information and communication technology in livestock activities is one solution for the pandemic, especially for traditional livestock. This study aims to assess the significance of the use of IoT in livestock activities. The impact felt by traditional farmers is very significant. The reach of livestock buyers is getting farther, and a farmer's website can invite many investors to be involved in traditional livestock activities in rural areas. The research was conducted in Wagir Sub-district, Malang District. Optimizing IoT (Internet of Things) in livestock activities in rural areas has helped more than 300 traditional breeders in Sukodadi Village, Wagir Sub-district, Malang District. The analysis used in this study is Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), Importance Performance Expert Analysis (IPEA), and Impact Analysis based on interviews with farmers at the research location. The results of these research methods improve IoT optimization in livestock activities and can be used for traditional farmers in developing countries.
