Aim - justification of the method of monitoring the noise hazard of the environment. Objects and methods. A residential area with installed equipment to assess noise hazard; determination of the spectral composition of real noise. Results. The article establishes and substantiates the ratio between the intensity (pressure) of the sounds of different frequencies and the loudness of the perceived tones as the inverse law of Weber-Ovchinnikov The ways of studying the relief of the sound field and monitoring of the acoustic landscape of the environment are outlined.
