Aim - to evaluate the effectiveness of voice rehabilitation with the use of voice prosthesis, and to review the existing methods of voice rehabilitation with their advantages and disadvantages in order to define the most effective one. Materials and methods. 26 clinical cases include patients aged 54-70 years who underwent laryngectomy as a part of the throat cancer treatment. Voice prostheses were used for their rehabilitation. Results. Tracheoesophageal shunting with voice prosthesis has remarkable advantages over the other methods of restoring the normal voice function.
