
STUDENTS’ NEEDS IN TRANSITIVE CHANGES OF REGIONAL UNIVERSITY

The aim of the study is to clarify the needs of students in transitive changes at Udmurt State University during the transition to a transitive strategy of the university innovation ecosystem development in the region. The theoretical part substantiates the main transformational challenges of our time, affecting the field of universities in a transition society - a transitive society, in which the need for constant innovation changes becomes normative. Based on the results of focus groups held at Udmurt State University in 2018, the main problems and factors of impact on the educational environment of a regional university were identified that may be useful for managerial analysis and decision making. Two quantitative studies of 2019, with the general title “Graduates’ assessment of the quality of education at Udmurt State University and their own educational, migration and career prospects,” turned out to be significantly more effective. In the first case, a questionnaire survey of bachelors of 3 and 4 courses and first-year undergraduate full-time students (n=611) was conducted, in the second case - an online survey of UdSU graduates who completed university training in the period 2008-2018, currently residing outside Udmurtia and registered on the vk.com platform, (n = 281). The following were analyzed: the main reasons for choosing UdSU as a university of the first level of training; the quality of university training, the infrastructure of the university, the compliance of educational programs with modern labor market requirements; main post-graduate strategies and factors influencing the migration behavior of graduates.
