The article deals with the methods and verbal means of representation of the author of a journalistic text, which constitute one of the prerequisites for the formation of genres of mass media. Authorization in the article is understood as a conscious or unconscious expression in the media content of the personality of its creator, revealed through the analysis of specific language means. Because journalism is a sphere of personal, subjective, documentary, and authentic speech, then authorization is included in the list of the most relevant characteristics of a journalistic text, and therefore, the description of the representation of the author in accordance with the requirements of the genres is important for practical journalism. For the modern media sphere, the correct authorization of content is a problem, because in recent years the form of its expression in journalistic texts is increasingly blurred, which has become one of the main reasons for the dehumanization of modern media. Particular attention is paid to how the quality and degree of manifestation of the characteristics of the author is regulated in texts belonging to different genres. Through the use of complex linguistic analysis, special verbal structures are described in detail, which journalists use for their own representation in texts of different genres, and which create a form of authorization, which is a recognizable sign of their individual style.
