This article discusses the history of the Syafie sect, the emergence and character of the Syafie sect and the influence of the Syafie sect in the archipelago in the context of the impact and impilations on the Syafie sect on Muslims and the country in maintaining the harmony of the Ummah. This study involves qualitative studies from document analysis including Islamic scholarly books. The results of this study provide a statement that the Syafie sect is an element of the unity of the various societies in the Archipelago. The Shafie sect also had a profound impact on the unification of people of various races and ethnicities by embracing this sect in all areas of Muslim life in the Archipelago.
