The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic upheaval has resulted in a myriad of implications on daily life. In schools, students have also been affected due to their need to participate in online learning which used to be conducted in face-to-face mode. This study was aimed at identifying COVID-19 pandemic impact stress issues among students participating in online teaching and learning. In addition, this study was also for the purpose of examining the suggestions to address the identified stresses. This preliminary study was conducted in a qualitative manner by means of data collection through review of past research studies. Findings showed that stress issues among students participating in online teaching and learning were likely to persist for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, stress issues could be addressed by employing various effective methods based on the suggestions by the Malaysia Ministry of Health depending on each individual student’s acceptance and consistency.
