The complex estimation of ambient air in Novokuibyshevsk is fullfilled. Negative impact of pollutions onpublic health (benzo(a)pyrene and formaldehyde) is considered. The dynamics of changes in theconcentrations of pollutants and allergic respiratory diseases in children and adult population of the citywas shown. A strong correlation between exposure to formaldehyde (by initial concentrations) and thelevel of allergic respiratory diseases in children population as a whole and for individual nosologicalforms: allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma is proved.
