The results of experimental studies of antileishmanial activity of certain local antibacterial drugs arepresented. Preliminary data show the effectiveness of doxycycline, ceftriaxone, cefotaxime in small dosesand may be a therapeutic alternative in the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis.
