The paper presents the Chegem waterfalls (a unique water body, a specially protected natural territory of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria) main characteristics. Significance and urgency of the integrated researches of the Chegem waterfalls natural phenomena have been demonstrated and a set of measures to protect and study this specially protected natural territory has been proposed.
