Influence of soluble humic acid on the chemical elements distribution within the water-plankton system has been studied. The specter of 35 investigated elements included macro- and micro-elements, as well as rare and trace elements of a natural water body aquatic medium. It has been demonstrated that presence of humic acid at the water medium alkaline reaction leads to reliable decrease of all the investigated elements distribution coefficients. It has been proposed that this decrease was caused by formation of mobile in the water compounds of the elements with humic acid, which prevented their absorption by plankton.
