For the first time on the Maritime territory particularizes of the mercury concentration in groundwater in dependence on their chemical composition and the depth of the sampling plane depth have been characterized. It has been shown that in soil waters of the southern part of the Maritime the mercury concentration is in the 0.3 – 17.0 ng/l range, with positive dependence on the mineralization. It has been found that due to anthropogenic load well waters contain more sulfates and chlorides, as well as nitrates in comparison with groundwater from deeper planes of the same area. At the same time, the mercury concentration in groundwater can be higher on the territories with knowingly lower anthropogenic load in comparison with areas with considerably higher anthropogenic pressing.
