The paper proposed a method for evaluation of water pollution with suspended solids that are removed from the bypass earth canal in the process of open development of mineral deposits in river beds. Quantitative and cost evaluation of water pollution with suspended solids was performed with a gold mining site at the Bugarikhta River, Trans-Baikal Region, as an example.
