The paper gives outcomes of research of channel processes manifestation forms and forecast assessment of their development at the Ural River basin rivers (within the boundaries of the Russian Federation) obtained in the process of development of the SIWBUP sections. The research program on accounting of channel processes within the framework of preparation of rationale for SIWBUP has been proposed.
