This paper presents several aspects concerning the field and desk research based on the methodologies in the contextof the European economy. Also, this work presents brief aspects about innovation, fundamental, applied research andneeds of training in the textile sector for managers, students, assistant managers and experts from Romania. Asurvey-based on questionnaires and statistical analysis was performed, in order to achieve the landscape of trainingneeds in the area of the Bucharest region.
