Based on indicators of the number of production establishments, production value and the existing export markets, this paper aims to describe the situation of the development of seafood processing industry in Tra Vinh Province. At the same time, the potential of this industry development were also surveyed, analyzed and evaluated through raw materials, infrastructure, human resources, policies and export markets. Then, the limitations of seafood processing industry compared with the existing development potential of this industry in the locality have been analyzed and discussed. Results of the study could be used as a reference for planning development projects of the seafood processing industry and related supporting industries.
