Allergic Rhinitis in Children of Ukraine: Transformation of Morbidity and Prevalence over the Past 24 Years

Введение. Статья посвящена актуальной проблеме педиатрии росту заболеваемости и распространенности аллергического ринита у детей Украины. Цель. Анализ данных распространенности и заболеваемости аллергического ринита (АР) у детей Украины с 1994 по 2017 г. для установления возможного влияния на его развитие неблагоприятных факторов окружающей среды. Материалы и методы. В статье использованы данные Центра медицинской статистики МЗ Украины и Государственной службы статистики Украины за период 1994-2017 гг. Применялись методы системного подхода, кластерного, корреляционного и эпидемиологического анализа. Результаты. Проведенный нами ретроспективный анализ заболеваемости и распространенности АР у детей за последние 24 года позволил установить, что в Украине наблюдается значительный рост на 388,3% распространенности АР у детей и на 280,3% уровня заболеваемости детей АР с преобладанием выявления этой патологии у детей из крупных промышленных и агропромышленных областей страны со значительными объемами выбросов загрязняющих веществ в атмосферный воздух от стационарных и передвижных источников загрязнения, которые имеют прямое влияние умеренной силы (р<0,05) на увеличение числа случаев аллергического ринита у детей. В целом рост показателя распространенности АР у детей Украины за последние 24 года превышал в 8 раз темп роста показателя общей распространенности болезней у детского населения Украины. Заключение. Аллергический ринит у детей является в Украине быстрорастущей и социально значимой патологией. Рост заболеваемости и распространенности аллергического ринита у детей Украины соответствует общемировым трендам и связан в том числе и с экологическими причинами. Introduction. The article is devoted to the current problem of pediatrics - the growing incidence and prevalence of allergic rhinitis in children of Ukraine. Purpose. To analyze the prevalence and incidence of allergic rhinitis (AR) in children of Ukraine from 1994 to 2017 to reveal the possible impact of adverse environmental factors on its development. Materials and methods. The data from the State Institution “Center for Medical Statistics of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine for the period 1997-2017 were used in the article. The methods of system approach, cluster, correlation, and epidemiological analysis were used. Results. Our retrospective analysis of the incidence and prevalence of AR in children over the past 24 years revealed that in Ukraine, there is a significant increase by 388,3% of the prevalence of allergic rhinitis in children and by 280,3% of the incidence of allergic rhinitis in children with predominance of this pathology in children from large industrial and agro-industrial regions of the country with significant emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere from stationary and mobile sources of pollution, which has a direct impact of moderate force (p<0.05) on the increase of the number of cases of allergic rhinitis in children. In general, the growth rate of the prevalence of allergic rhinitis in children in Ukraine over the past 24 years exceeded 8 times the growth rate of the overall prevalence of diseases in the pediatric population of Ukraine. Conclusion. Allergic rhinitis in children is a fast-growing and socially significant pathology in Ukraine. The increase of the incidence and prevalence of allergic rhinitis in children in Ukraine is in line with global trends and is associated with environmental reasons.
