Evaluation of Efficacy and Safety of Apicold Mint Nose Spray for Acute Viral and Bacterial Rhinosinusitis

Введение. Острый риносинусит - одно из самых распространенных заболеваний среди детей и взрослых. Заболеваемость острым вирусным риносинуситом остается высокой. Особенно часто острым вирусным риносинуситом болеют дети школьного возраста. Цель. Оценка эффективности и безопасности применения Апиколд минт назальный спрей у детей и взрослых при остром вирусном и бактериальном риносинусите. Материалы и методы. В клиническое исследование было включено 165 пациентов, из них 123 (74,5%) с острым вирусным риносинуситом и 42 (25,5%) с острым бактериальным риносинуситом. Детей в возрасте от 4 до 18 лет было 71 (43%), взрослых - 94 (57%). Пациентов женского пола было 82 (49,7%), мужского - 83 (50,3%). Анализ Апиколд минт назальный спрей при применении пациентами с острым вирусным и бактериальным риносинуситом проводился на основе сравнительной оценки данных, полученных до и после лечения. Результаты. На фоне применения препарата Апиколд минт назальный спрей наблюдается быстрая положительная динамика симптомов у пациентов с острым вирусным и бактериальным риносинуситом. Выводы. Апиколд минт назальный спрей (АПИФАРМА д.о.о., Хорватия, ЕС) при лечении детей с4 лет и взрослых с острым вирусным и бактериальным риносинуситом хорошо переносится пациентами, не вызывает патологических изменений в организме. Применение препарата Апиколд минт назальный спрей способствует положительной динамике симптомов у пациентов с острым вирусным и бактериальным риносинуситом, что позволяет рекомендовать его в комплексном лечении острого риносинусита у детей и взрослых. Introduction. Acute rhinosinusitis is one of the most common diseases in children and adults. The incidence of acute viral rhinosinusitis remains high. Schoolchildren are especially often affected by acute viral rhinosinusitis. Purpose. The aim of the clinical study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Apicold Mint nasal spray in children and adults in acute viral and bacterial rhinosinusitis. Materials and methods. The clinical follow-up consisted of 165 patients, including 123 patients (74.5%) with acute viral rhinosinusitis and 42 patients (25.5%) with acute bacterial rhinosinusitis. There were 71 (43%) children aged from 4 to 18 and 94 (57%) adults. There were 82 female patients (49.7%) and 83 male patients (50.3%). Analysis of the effectiveness of Apicold Mint nasal spray when used in patients with acute viral rhinosinusitis and acute bacterial rhinosinusitis was performed on the base of comparative evaluation of the data obtained before and after treatment. Results. On the background of use of Apicold Mint nasal spray, there is a rapid positive dynamics of symptoms in patients with acute viral and bacterial rhinosinusitis. Conclusions. Apicold Mint nasal spray (APIPHARMA d.o.o. Croatia, EU) in the treatment of children from 4 years old and adults with acute viral and bacterial rhinosinusitis is well tolerated by patients and does not cause pathological changes in the body. The use of the drug Apicold Mint nasal spray contributes to the positive dynamics of symptoms in patients with acute viral and bacterial rhinosinusitis, which allows recommending it in the complex treatment of acute rhinosinusitis in children and adults.
