At critical historical moments, the question of the forces that can unite society on the principles of morality is acute. The author sees the moral elite as such a unifying social group. The paper attempts to identify the most important features that characterize this social group, to analyse the social and psychological difficulties that representatives of this group have to face when realizing their aspirations. The most important principles that determine the formation of the moral culture of this group of society are highlighted.
