Этнокультурное наследие народов Северного Кавказа - значительно, многообразно, нередко и противоречиво. И оно придает региону, его народам пестрый, мозаичный облик, сложившийся в ходе его созидательной деятельности. В целом эта этническая и социокультурная реальность составляет основу определенного типа цивилизации, именуемой кавказской. Оно локально, колоритно, разнообразно, уникально, что определяется его материальными и духовными ценностями, оставившими предками подрастающим поколениям, а последние, внося свою лепту, придают наследию прошлого современный характер. Для многих современников этнокультурное многообразие непонятно, сложно, не потому, что оно архаично, а потому, что многообразно, испытав много веяний, исходивших от разных культур и цивилизаций. Сохранение этнического, культурного наследия народов Кавказа, осмысление для современности - исключительно важная в научном, культурологическом отношении проблема. The ethnocultural heritage of the peoples of the North Caucasus is significant, diverse, often contradictory. And it gives the region and its peoples a colorful, mosaic appearance that has developed in the course of its creative activity. In general, this ethnic and sociocultural reality is the basis of a certain type of civilization, called the Caucasian. It is local, colorful, diverse, unique, which is determined by its material and spiritual values, which left the ancestors of the younger generations, and the latter, contributing, give the heritage of the past a modern character. For many contemporaries, ethnocultural diversity is incomprehensible, complex, not because it is archaic, but because it is diverse, having experienced many trends coming from different cultures and civilizations. The preservation of the ethnic and cultural heritage of the peoples of the Caucasus, comprehension for the present, is an extremely important problem in a scientific and cultural sense.
