Purpose of the study. The important role of evidence-based research in improving the health of the infant population and decision-making in the field of child health are highlight. Methods. Bibliographic and analytical methods were used in the study. Results. Almost all academic institutions and institutions of higher medical education carry out a large amount of research work, including the study and improvement of children's health. They all have their own priorities for research. These studies address issues of children's behavior in relation to their health, determinants of health, inequalities in health, genetics problems, approaches to the treatment of hepatitis C and many others. Conclusions. Scientific research on the study and improvement of children's health is the basis for policy development in the field of health care for children, including measures to prevent childhood diseases.
