The article is devoted to the development and application of the model of upbringing activities using the Internet as a factor in the development of self-understanding of the younger teenager. The basic provisions for the development of this model are formulated: the interpretation of the social situation of development in the context of modern socio-cultural situation; the understanding of upbringing as the creation of conditions for the development of personality, characteristics of self-consciousness and self-understanding of adolescents. On the basis of these provisions, a model of upbringing activities using the Internet as a factor in the development of self-understanding of the younger teenager is described, which is based on its consideration in terms of the activities of the pedagogue and the activities of the child, as well as the emergence of common activities. This position and conducted by the author pilot empirical study offers a model for assessing the level of self-understanding, which includes an assessment of the phases ofits development: pre-understanding, genetic self-understanding, structural self-understanding.
