The article deals with the problem from the field of developmental psychology and acmeology, associated with the study of the phenomenon of burnout syndrome in nurses and its impact on the quality of medical care. The interest of the study to this problem is due to the real psycho-emotional and psychosocial problems that the nurse is facing daily in her professional activities. Empirical data on the identification of burnout syndrome and preferred behavioural strategies in the implementation of professional tasks among nurses are given. To obtain empirical data, the following methods were used in the study: the method of Viktor Boyko "Study of Burnout"; the James H. Amirkhan questionnaire "The Coping Strategy Indicator", as well as a patient survey"Patient Satisfaction with the Quality of Medical Services Provided" was conducted. According to the obtained results, the degree of risk to the burnout syndrome among practicing nurses is quite acute. Thus, at different stages of professionalisation there is a tendency for the examined people to have symptoms of emotional burnout of various severity levels, however this indicator has little effect on the quality of medical services. The results of the study indicate that this situation is due to the presence of personal resources in nurses, coping strategies that allow her to adequately solve professional tasks, as well as to findinternal resources to overcome problematic situations.
