The post-non-classical paradigm allows exploring the client's psychological problems in a new way. The article reveals two basic principles underlying the development of a typology of client problems in reflexive psychological counselling. The psychological problem is a complex formation that is poorly structured in a formal-logical framework. In this regard, a holistic approach is the most adequate. Holistic consideration of the problem is based on two basic principles. The principle of dynamic equilibrium allows distinguishing three states of a psychological problem and the degree of its extremes in relation to each other. The "nesting doll" principle allows analysing the interrelatedness of various psychological problems among themselves. Based on this principle, there are three main and two additional levels of development of problems. Transition of one problem from one level to another fills it with new content and gives new meaning.
