The many-sided enlightening, publishing and translation activities of Aleksandra Ishimova are presented in the article. Her contribution to process of formation of patriotic feelings of a number of generations of young Russian subjects of the 19th and early 20th centuries is shown. Special attention in the article is paid to consideration of the facts from life of that female of Kostroma which characterise Aleksandra Ishimova as a careful daughter and sister, as a diligent schoolgirl who strove for knowledge, for self-improvement, as a devoted citizen of her Homeland. Aleksandra Ishimova tried to teach the reading children to good, to rejection of egoism by means of her works; she sought to impart them love to work and to nature, respect for ancestors' culture. It is convincingly shown in the article that when imparting children and youth interest and love to fatherland's history, when educating, training and upbringing them as citizens of the grand power, as worthy successors of their ancestors, Aleksandra Ishimova carried out a great historical andeducational mission of her era.
