The scientifi c monograph by Vera Kharchenko is described in the review; it is devoted to studying and characterising of Metropolitan Macarius' (Bulgakov's) language and style features, to statement of theoretical questions of language grace research, to identifying mechanisms of its embodiment. Deep analysis of Metropolitan Macarius' historiographic work and number of his sermons' texts, reports and letters allow the author to give a voluminous portrait of the Metropolitan as a writer, a preacher and a language personality, which makes this monograph of extreme interest for philologists and ordinary readers.
