Objective : Analysis of the frequency and clinical manifestations of emergence agitation in children with background psycho‑ neurological disorders after general inhalational anesthesia during ophthalmic surgery. Methods : 1155 children aged 2–6 years having undergone different ophthalmic surgeries were examined. Children were conventionally divided into two groups: a main one (n=516) – children with different psychoneurological disorders; a comparison one (n=639) – children without psy‑ choneurological disorders. All patients got the general inhalational anesthesia with sevoflurane. The induction was performed intravenously with propofol.
