The regional geochemical reconnaissance survey initiated in 1978 (Ghisler et al. 1979) was continued with the collection of stream sediments, as an integral part of the systematic geological mapping programme. The purpose of this programme is to provide information for an evaluation of the mineral potential and to obtain general geochemical data.
