During the period 3rd July to 3rd September 1984 geophysical measurements were made in the Qaqarssuk area. The investigations focussed on: (1) Shallow-seismic and geoelectric investigations of the overburden, especiaIly its thickness. (2) Magnetic measurements in order to refine the modelling based on existing data from Kryolitselskabet Øresund AIS (Kurki & Juhava, 1971; Gothenborg & Pedersen, 1976).
