RESUMONa tentativa de responder à pergunta ‘como a academia e o mundo científico produzem e tratam os conhecimentos religiosos e não religiosos nas pesquisas?’, o artigo propõe uma reflexão em quatro passos. O recorte estabelecido é parcial, com a pretensão de ser uma das muitas respostas possíveis e cabíveis: Em primeiro lugar pontuam-se aspectos considerados relevantes na relação da academia com o “mundo” das religiões e religiosidades e com o conhecimento religioso, para, em seguida, trazer ao debate, por um lado, algumas questões relativas às estatísticas religiosas no Brasil e, por outro lado, alguns eventos que devem ser considerados paradigmáticos no entendimento deste “mundo” complexo em nossa realidade nacional. O centro da discussão está no quarto passo no qual uma pequena nota inicial a partir de um processo de pesquisa envolvendo academia e um grupo inter-religioso abre e coloca em relevo reflexões sobre o conceito de transdisciplinaridade no conhecimento dos processos religiosos de identidadePalavras-chave: Brasil religioso; Academia e conhecimento religioso;Transdisciplinaridade; Processos religiosos de identidadeABSTRACTIn an attempt to answer the question: ‘how do the academy and the scientific world produce and treat religious and non-religious knowledge in their research?’, this article proposes a reflection in four steps. The snippet established is partial and it has the pretension to be one of the many possible and reasonable answers: Firstly is pointed relevant aspects in the relation of the Academy with the world of religions and religiosities and the religious knowledge. Next, it explains the debate, on one hand some questions related to the religious statistics in Brazil and, on the other hand, some events which are considered paradigmatic in understanding this complex world in our national reality. The center of the discussion is the fourth step in which a small initial note - from a research process involving academia and interfaith group - opens and sheds light on reflections on the concept of transdisciplinarity for knowledge on the religious processes of identity.Keywords: Religious Brazil; Academy and religious knowledge;Transdisciplinarity; Religious processes of identity.
