The article deals with the problem issues of the essence of the basic principles of futures speech pathologists professional development and their influence on the definition of the strategy and tactics of vocational and pedagogical activities. The main understanding of the "principles of development".As a result of theoretical study of the problem, the principles of future speech pathologists professional growth have been identified and disclosed. It was found out that adherence to the principles allows conducting educational activities in a complex, coherent and skillful way. It is noted that as the initial pedagogical provisions, these principles regulate the process of using the means, methods, techniques and forms of work and promote the professional growth of future speech pathologists during their studying in higher educational institutions.It is emphasized that the list and formulation of the principles of the future speech pathologists professional development are not exhaustive and complete, since the empirical basis of their training is variable and mobile, it is continuously enriched with new scientific facts, logical connections and dependencies, and the theoretical substantiation of them at the present time is the subjective view of the author on objective phenomena.
