The essence of the concepts of "communication", "effective communication" and "constructive communication" is analyzed. The classification and structural characteristics of the means of effective communication in the context of the professional activity of the doctor are presented.Ability to communicate effectively is considered as one of the main factors of success in any sphere of life of modern man, since it is impossible to build a career and succeed and recognize in the chosen profession without the ability to communicate efficiently and constructively. The author examines the specifics of constructive communication in medicine and emphasizes that communicative competence is a solid foundation for a well-considered interpersonal relationship and professional success of a physician, which is considered as the ability to deal with a patient in conjunction with a patient.
