The article reveals the results of a study on the place and the role of Poland in the CEE region and the specifics of the “Jagiellonian version” of Central Europe. Based on recent (2019-2021) publications in major Polish media of various political orientations, a conclusion is drawn about political and social trends in Polish society, which is nowadays characterized by a high degree of polarization
