A method for measuring the dependence of the brightness signal averaged over the image on the power of the incident radiation for measuring the transfer function of the camera and its linearization is proposed. The experimental results of testing the Canon EOS 500D, AxioCam HS and ToupCam 14MP cameras obtained in this work found that in specialized cameras the linearization of brightness signals is performed by the built-in software, and for household cameras it can be implemented by the proposed method.
