Resume: This article provides a brief overview of the maps of the routes of communication in Western Siberia of the pre-revolutionary period, stored both in federal archives and libraries of the country, and in local history museums in various cities and regions of the country. The paper proposes a typology of maps of communication routes of imperial Russia. The authors offer a selection of maps showing land roads, railways, waterways, postal routes, a brief description of each presented map is given.
