The article examines some of the problems associated with the spread of separatist sentiments among the population of the Siberian region in different historical periods. The chronological framework of the article covers the time from the second half of the 19th century and ends with the post-Soviet period. Siberian separatism, despite the extremely scarce nutrient soil, has its own history and poses a great danger to the unity of the country. Even if we hypothetically imagine the loss of Siberia, it will immediately become the end of Russia as an independent geopolitical entity. This is where the importance of the topic discussed in the work stems from.
