Land monitoring is a part of environmental monitoring, which is a system of observation, assessment, forecasting that allows obtaining reliable information about condition of land, their quantitative and qualitative characteristics, as well as information about their use and soil fertility. The main purpose of monitoring is the timely acquisition of accurate and current information on the state of the land.
