In Lensky district of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) an attempt to monitor invertebrates living on trees was made. As a result of the work, 172 species of dendrobiont insects were identified, among which dangerous pests of foliage (Deporousbetulae, Chrysomelapopuli), physiological and technical pests of wood (Hylobiusabietis, Hylobiusalbosparsus, Monochamusssovi, Monochamussutor, Phaenopsguttulata, Phaenopscyanea), species included in the list of quarantine insects pests (Monochamusurussovi, Monochamussutor). For the above species the analysis of population dynamics was carried out. For each identified species, phenology features, trophic and biotopic preferences were studied and refined. The results obtained in the course of the work can be a basis for the development of principles of environmental management and protection.
