The principle of the formation of an oriented crack by splitting a rock in a given plane by shock loads through the bulk material in the bore holes is discussed. It is shown that the transmission of shock loads from wedges through the bulk material to the walls of the holes in the rock does not cause local stresses, causing the appearance of random micro discontinuities that can change the orientation of the plane of the formed crack. The technical means for the implementation of this principle and the engineering calculation of their working bodies are given.
