The article analyzes the losses caused to agriculture, forests and fisheries as a result of GEJE, the amount of damage caused to agriculture, forests and fisheries due to GEJE was estimated at ¥23.4 trillion. It is determined that the Government of Japan has introduced measures to stabilize the situation by raising the maximum tax rates, which are deducted as a contribution to CEJE, facilitating the procedures for confirming the damages and their compensation, providing tax benefits. It is substantiated that the difference between Fukushima and Chernobyl is mountain topography and complex, not flat, sufficient rainfall, forests are closely intertwined with agricultural land — management approaches to forestry should also differ. In this regard, we believe that the experience of Ukraine and Japan in solving the problems caused by nuclear disasters was different, but equally important for the world community, in particular, to ensure environmental security. It was found that due to the difference between Fukushima and Chernobyl — mountain topography and complex, not flat, sufficient rainfall, forests are closely intertwined with agricultural land — management approaches to forestry should also differ.
