— In construction industry delays and costoverrun are significant problems so it requiresinvestigation at planning stage. This paper givesintroduction to the NAVFAC P-405, US Naval handbookfor planning and estimation. This is used for siteindependent duration calculation and also involves stepson using NAVFAC P-405 in calculating delays. Further amethod to calculate cost and time overrun for singleactivity using NAVFAC P-405 is explained in detail withcase study.
